World Book Day
World Book Day
Well done to everyone for your amazing effort in celebration of World Book Day.
We had a huge array of characters from all sorts of different books. Prizes were awarded in assembly for the most imaginative and creative costumes. We also had some excellent entries for the ‘Book in a Jar competition’.
Magnetic Forces in Year 3
Today our Year 3 children were experimenting with magnetic forces. They were looking at the strength of magnets and which materials are magnetic. As most lessons do, the lesson began to turn into an experiment of how much our magnets can hold! Have a look to see our results.

Fireworks Spectacular – Friday 4th November 2022
For the first time since the pandemic, Kenley Primary School’s Firework Spectacular is happening. This event is due to take place on Friday 4th November 2022.

Jubilee
Commemorating Queen Elizabeth II
During the Queen’s Jubilee Celebrations in June, the children painted blocks using fabric paint and stencils, which have been made into a celebratory jubilee quilt. Ducklings
On Monday our lovely duckling eggs arrived. Today we have come in to 4 gorgeous ducklings and one very close to hatching!! Next week the children will have the chance to bring them to the classrooms and watch them swim.
Ukrainian Appeal Day
On Friday 25th March, we held our Ukrainian Appeal Day. We have been delighted with the kind donations, and these will be collected early next week.
A great community effort from Kenley Primary School for a needy cause. Thank you.
Netball Squad
On Tuesday, our Year 5 and Year 6 girls took part in the Croydon Schools’ Netball Tournament. Our Year 6 team successfully secured a place in the finals, which will take place on 18th March. This is down to all their hard work and dedication; we wish them luck for the finals.
New Guinea Pigs
This week we have welcomed 2 new members to our Kenley Primary family.
Their names are Daisy and Buttercup, and they are both 4 years of age. They were searching for a new home as their previous owner could no longer care for them.
We are excited to offer them a forever home with us!

New Ducklings In School!
We were delighted to welcome six new ducklings – 5 yellow and 1 dusky brown – to school recently. The children have really enjoyed getting to know them, learning how to handle them safely and watching them grow… so very fast!

Book Week

Mud Kitchen
A big thank you to Mr Willis and Mr Jones for building this fantastic Mud Kitchen for our early years classes.
